Nike Epic React Flyknit - changes on the throne are coming?
Since Adidas presented shoes made in Boost technology in 2013, the sports footwear market has been revolutionized. The shoes of the German company were unmatched in terms of comfort and lightness. A period of undivided domination began, not only among runners.
Nike's latest creation - Nike Epic React Flyknit - can strongly confuse the lovers of gear. Let's take a closer look at them. The upper is made of Flyknit material, which is known to runners for example from Nike Flyknit Racer shoes. A confident decision, a proven solution - it is a lightweight, breathable and durable material. The upper adheres well to the foot giving a feeling of stability while maintaining flexibility. However, the most important part of the shoe for every athlete is the sole, and here the engineers from Nike started their show.
Epic React is very similar to the Adidas sole. Do not be fooled by appearances, technically the Nike sole is a completely different concept. It is made of one piece of foam, which is designed in such a way as to provide flexibility and cushioning at the most sensitive points that are subject to the greatest overloads during the run. This solution also reduced the foam mass and improved its flexibility. This treatment allowed to obtain the "return of energy" effect highly valued by athletes.
Nike engineers also made sure to improve traction by inserting rubber inserts around the heel and on the front of the shoe. The runners will certainly be pleased that the latest Nike sole has breathable properties allowing better foot breathing in the shoe.
